10 years Relief Dual®
How DARCO has redefined the therapeutic footwear market
On 22 July 2015, DARCO received official confirmation from the GKV-Spitzenverband: The flat Off-Loading Shoe Relief Dual® was included in the list of medical aids. This made DARCO the first manufacturer in Germany to launch such a flat fitting concept on the market - a real milestone in the development of modern, patient-orientated therapy solutions.
A shoe with a signalling effect - in every respect
Until then, black off-loading shoes dominated the market. DARCO, on the other hand, deliberately opted for the colour grey with the Relief Dual® - a detail that proved to be a complete success. The unique look not only gives the product an unmistakable profile, but also emphasises its innovative claim. To this day, the Relief Dual® stands for a modern, clear design language and a high level of acceptance in everyday care.
Development with vision - together with Dr Hartmut Stinus
In close collaboration with Dr Stinus, a product was created that set new standards - in terms of function, wearing comfort and therapeutic safety.

A paradigm shift in postoperative care
With the Relief Dual®, DARCO has redefined classic postoperative forefoot treatment. The flat construction replaced the forefoot plateau that had been common until then - a fundamental change in the treatment strategy that is now considered the standard and has established DARCO as the market leader in therapeutic footwear.
To mark its 10th anniversary, DARCO is celebrating this milestone with a series of activities: social media posts, press releases and other publications relating to the successful Relief Dual® product.
