The Movilo® significantly reduces pressure on the forefoot
In a randomised controlled evaluation study, the Movilo® was compared with a conventional everyday shoe and a comparable therapeutic shoe. In 13 healthy test subjects, the innovative Therapeutic Comfort Shoe from DARCO achieved impressive results:
- Up to 26% less dorsal extension stress on the metatarsophalangeal joint (MTP1)
- Up to 33% less pressure stress in the medial toe area (T1)
The conclusion of the study
Movilo® noticeably reduces stress on the forefoot when walking: A clear therapeutic benefit for various forefoot complaints.
The study results were first presented by Prof. Dr. med. Markus Walther (Medical Director Schön Klinik Munich Harlaching) and Thomas Stief (Biomechanical engineer and orthopaedic shoemaker) at the DAF/TO Congress in Munich in May.
