Description
The soft MA Spacer made of medical silicone adapts individually to the contour of the toe and can be washed and disinfected. To fix / align the operated / corrected toes in the desired position and thus secure the surgical result, the MA Spacer can be used together with the MECRON ReadyDressment Strips.
Application example:
The MA Spacer toe separator is placed between the 1st and 2nd toe. The notch points proximad, the longer part points dorsad, the shorter part plantad. There must be no cavity proximally between the MA Spacer and the interdigital space between the toes. Use of MECRON ReadyDressment Strips for fixation of the toe spreader.
Postoperative care suggestion:
1st week post surgery: Insert the toe separator and tape reins for fixation
2nd – 7th week after surgery: When changing the tape: Cleaning, reinsertion and fixation of the spacer
From the 7th week after surgery on: Independent use of the toe separator by patients for approx. 4 weeks
